Apparently Dear Sophia, You Have an Admirer. Possibly Several.

Dear Sophia,

Apparently, you have acquired an admirer.

Possibly several.

How lovely.

Singapore has taken a rather persistent interest in the blog. Not one accidental click, but repeated visits, different posts, older pieces, then back again later.

Very flattering.

Very international.

Very James Bond with blog analytics.

Of course, one mustn’t jump to conclusions. Perhaps Singapore has simply developed a sudden passion for stories about scams, evidence, recovery and women who refuse to disappear.

Then came the email.

Not a view. A message.

Someone found the contact form, filled it in and pressed send.

Sophia replied with her favourite communication strategy:

Silence.

Because silence leaves so many delightful questions unanswered.

Then Instagram joined the party.

A newly created account. English name. Nigeria. Four posts.

All about becoming rich.

Naturally.

Nothing says perfectly ordinary stranger quite like arriving from nowhere with four lessons on financial success.

Blocked.

And then, another view.

Singapore.

Perhaps it is all entirely innocent. Perhaps someone is simply enjoying the blog.

Or perhaps someone wants to know what Sophia knows, what she has discovered, and what she might write next.

So let them read.

Let them return.

Sophia noticed.

She just isn’t going to spoil the fun by saying hello.

Until next time, dear admirer.

Or admirers.

One hates to underestimate one’s readership.

Love,

the part of you that never left

Scammed: The Inside Story of a Perfect Trap explores this space, not as a distant story, but as something that unfolds step by step, often without being noticed until it’s too late.

Because the most dangerous systems are not the ones that look broken.

They are the ones that look perfect.
